Father in Heaven, thank You for the men You have raised up who are Fathers and Grandfathers here on earth, in our lives and the life of our church family. We thank You for the gift of Fathers and Grandfathers in this life knowing You are Our Heavenly Father who we continue in this life to trust and believe, love and serve, honor and worship. We pray for Your blessing, favor, and strength over every father in this church family, for those who are seeking to walk closely with You in this dark world. May You Father fulfill every desire for each man to walk in a manner worthy of Your calling upon their lives as men who are Fathers and Grandfathers in their families. We ask for Your renewed courage in their hearts, for Your boldness with the Gospel in their lives, for Your Spirit to work mightily in ministries of each man for Your Sake and for the Sake of the Gospel. Make them always aware and alert of the schemes of the enemy. We ask that You would keep their footsteps firm, and guard their way. We ask that You would help them to always stand strong, to be men of faith, to say “no” to what is wrong and to say “yes” to what is right. We ask that You would fill their hearts with love, compassion, joy, and goodness as men who conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel.
On this Father’s Day in 2023, we pray for You to continue and complete Your work in each of us who are Dads and Grandpas, granting that we as men would walk with You like Enoch, believe You like Abraham, obey you like Isaac, wrestle with You like Jacob, know Your hand on our lives like Joseph, win victories for You like Gideon, speak boldly for You like Elijah, worship You like David, see You high and lifted up like Isaiah. Lord Jesus, we pray that You would continue to raise up mighty men, godly men, in this generation, through the example and discipleship of godly Fathers and Grandfathers in Your church. We pray men in this generation would know and honor You with their entire lives. We pray that each man would stand firm in the faith expectedly, walk wisely, and follow You faithfully and wholeheartedly as those who do not love the world nor the things in the world, but obey the greatest commandment to love You with all their heart, and with all their soul, and with all their mind. May we grow in our love and passion for You, for our families, and in the calling to worship You above all else. Thank You for Fathers and Grandfathers who are Your disciples who fight the good fight for the sake of their families, who do battle in prayer in Your Name over those in this generation and the generation to come. May each man here today and in Your church live their life in self-denial and self-sacrifice as a testimony that they are serving You as the Lord and Savior of their lives! We ask that You would turn around the man that has left and forsaken his role as the man in his marriage and in his family. He needs the grace and forgiveness You offer, or else he will seek after and live for the things of this world and not the things of God. Lord, give him no rest until he turns fully back to you in repentance, and humbles his heart to Your Word and towards his home. Thank You Father that Your Word is true. We hold fast to You today, we choose to immerse our lives in Your Truth in being men who daily rely upon You as men of Your Word. We commit ourselves into Your mighty and powerful Hand to make each of us such men who are the godly Fathers and godly Grandfathers we need to be for our families, in our homes and this community, and in Your church for this generation and the generation to come. We know that You are with us always and provide us Your presence, Your power and Your strength for Your glory in all of the responsibilities You have given men in the home, in our community, and in Your church. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Comments are closed.
